   CHAIRMAN OF THE TRUST BOARD
JEFF DE LEEUW - SUCCESS IN LIFE
This last year at Southwell has been very busy managing a continuously growing roll and strong wait lists for all year groups. Once again I am
presenting commentary around being the largest roll in our

again. This is a wonderful position to be in and is a credit to all of the positive changes that have been made and the solid referrals we are gaining. We have a hugely supportive and enthusiastic headmaster, an engaged senior leadership all wanting to come to their school.
For this last year, one thing we have focused on is our

be engaged, productive, rested and healthy. Professional and feel cared for, perform better. This has been a well- received motivation.

on their wellbeing.
During this Founders Day, I was asked to speak to the

to tailor the speech to the young ears of the students, the

What I thought I would talk to you all about is three things. Just three.

a conference for my work. It was in Australia and I was very

guy speaking at this conference about success in life. What a great topic!
He told everyone to bring a note book and a pen. He started by saying he knew all about success and that he was going to tell us three things, and that I had to write them down.
You just have to listen in.
The reason why I am going to share these three tricks with you, is because I think they are awesome. I wrote these three ideas down in my diary every day for years, until I make good decisions, feel good about myself and they have enabled me to help others too.
Positivity

The more positive you are, the more positive everyone around you will be. If you are kind, all of your friends will be kind. The happier you are, the happier your Mum and Dad will be. If you help someone out, they will help you out. sometimes – put a smile on, and be positive. It works.
Be Grateful
Count your blessings. All of us, every single day has something happen to us that is great. Think about those gone well. Think about how you get to go to an amazing school, with a beautiful playground, amazing buildings and books and toys. Appreciate your Mum, appreciate your
