GIRLS’ CHOIR OF ALL HALLOWS CHAPEL
We are all sisters in the Girls’ Choir. We have been so lucky to be a part of this experience. Every year we have looked up to senior
choristers and we couldn’t be more honoured to become one ourselves.
Hopefully this year the girls have learnt as much from us as we’ve learnt from them. Mrs McIntyre is the best. She gets the best out of all of us musically and personally and we all love her to pieces. This year has been busy and exciting for the Girls’ Choir. We have performances at least twice a term, either in All Hallow’s Chapel at Southwell
or visiting another congregation locally. We have sung in competitions and were thrilled to win a Gold Award at Kids Sing.
We had a stupendous choir camp, where
we sang in an Armistice Evensong service
at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Auckland and we went to Waiheke Island - and we went ice skating with Chaplain! We have loved choir this year and we are really upset now all of this is over, although we know we have all made connections that will last longer than our time in the choir - connections with other students, parents, and staff. Goodbye Girls’ Choir - we have loved every minute. Or, as Mrs McIntyre would say “Love you, bye!”

VOICE FOR LIFE
Voice For Life is a comprehensive training programme for choral singers of all ages and abilities. It is a fun but challenging activity to do if you are in the choir.
There are different colours you can do but at Southwell we only do Light Blue, Dark Blue and Red. For each ribbon there is a different booklet to study.
Mrs McIntyre signs off our tests in the booklet and once you’ve nished the
book you go to Chaplain for the nal test about your biblical knowledge. If you pass Chaplain’s test you will get awarded with a ribbon at a Chapel service.
You get to wear this ribbon on top of your robe. Voice For Life is something I really recommend for you to try as you learn new things and work on being a better singer.
Good job to all the people who completed a ribbon this year:
Light Blue:
Ashleigh Darby Liam Fairweather
Dark Blue:
Kezia Schuitemaker
Matthew Chanwai
