FOOTBALL
During the 2018 football season Southwell elded 14 teams across all grades, from Year 1 to 8, in the Waikato Grades. In an exciting rst for Southwell we were able to enter three girls-only teams, with two in the U12 division and one in the U10s. This greatly supported the development of women’s football in the Waikato/BOP region.
Although the weather did not always show up on game and training days, students developed their skills and tactical awareness through some exciting game play. Thank you to all those who assisted with a team; whether it be coaching, managing or supplying oranges.
