BASKETBALL
Basketball at Southwell continues to grow from strength to strength as each year nishes. With basketball being reintroduced as a Southwell sport in 2016 the development pathway is starting to pay dividends as each year the quality of our players increases as they move up the year levels. This year was a clear example of this and held many highlights including:
• The annual grudge matches between our Southwell teams, where Southwell School allegiance is put aside for team allegiance.
• Southwell Blazers winning the Waikato Schools’ and Intermediate F Grade Competition and the Southwell 1911s taking the title for the Waikato Schools’ and Intermediate D Grade Competition.
As always the Southwell sideline has played a major part in the success of our teams, be it with support in managing teams, running the score sheet or the celebrational eruptions of our success. Thank you to everyone who has supported our teams this year.
