Chapel Window Appeal

At the heart of our school is the All Hallows Chapel, built in the 1920s with bricks made by Southwell students.

The significance of the chapel is established through school life with students beginning their Southwell journey in All Hallows Chapel, continuing with weekly chapel services all the way through to the Year 8 Leavers ceremony.

That significance continues beyond the School attendance years with staff, Old Boys and Old Girls returning to the chapel in adult life for baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies, and as parents of students.

Give the Gift of Giving - create a legacy at Southwell

In the spirit of the Sergel family who took over the tenure of the School more than 100 years ago, paving a history of giving with their generous donation of the School grounds, we invite you to give the gift of giving and support the Southwell School Foundation.

The Foundation manages an Endowment Fund for the purpose of preserving the special character and independence of the school.

As a reminder of the generous giving culture of the Southwell community, The Foundation plans to fund the replacement of the northern chapel window with a beautiful stained-glass window to be named the “Foundation Window”.

Contribute for an opportunity to be acknowledged in our Memory Book, and donations of $5,000 (or more) will have their family name inscribed on a plaque inside our beautiful chapel next to the new window.

Together, we will continue to build a bright future for our School and students for generations to come.
