CELEBRATING A SOUTHWELL FIRST
ACOMBINED CHOIR TRIP TO AUSTRALIA
t the end of Term 1 our combined Southwell choirs embarked on our first international trip. The students, staff and parent supporters had
a wonderful time, in Sydney, with the students representing themselves and the School superbly.
The students gave two outside concerts, one at Pitt Street Mall and another at the Paddington Markets. They also performed at a retirement village, sang in the Sunday service at Christ Church, St Lawrence, at a school exchange at Bondi Beach Primary, and at many other impromptu settings.
While in Sydney they also had time to be tourists including, spending a day in the Blue Mountains, touring the Opera House and exploring downtown Sydney. A huge thank you to all the parents who supported the trip, especially with the fundraising ventures.
ACCOLADES FOR OUR
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC CJULIA MCINTYRE

This award acknowledges exceptional staff who demonstrate talent, service and committment to independent schooling that is truely above and beyond what might reasonably be expected.
We are fortunate to have Julia on our staff, her positive personality, passion for music and high expectations of herself and our students provides an infectious cultivation of music in to our boys and girls and across Southwell School. Julia is an outstanding role model within the Southwell Community and beyond.
