SOUTHWELL SCHOOL FOUNDATION
FROM THE CHAIRMAN, MELANIE O’NEILL
This is my second year as Chairman of the Southwell School Foundation. At the time that I took up
discussed and agreed on a policy that the Foundation Chairman would generally serve a three-year term with one three-year renewal. I have indicated to my Trustees then stand down. As I am in the middle of my term as Chairman, it seems appropriate to look back and outline what the eight Trustees have achieved over the past year.

Fundraising

Southwell Flavours Cookbook
cookbook was launched in November. The cookbook is work, passion and vision over many months. The end result is a wonderful keepsake of our Southwell community with its favourite recipes and with photos and artwork

Having a comprehensive and accurate database is viewed by the Trustees as crucial. Over a number of years, the Foundation has committed funds to this school project which is ongoing.

Fund Management
Following an expression of interest process, an analysis
by a Foundation sub-committee took place. The Trustees resolved that the Foundation investments would move to be managed by local provider Craigs Investment Partners. Craigs report to the Foundation each meeting. The Foundation is pleased with the direction and methodology that has been adopted and the performance of the
Trustees. My Trustees are Glenn Holmes, Ken Williamson,
and support of me as chairman are acknowledged and appreciated.
