                  SWORD IN THE
 CSTONE
onsiderable interest has been generated by the Schools ‘Sword in the Stone’ which was unveiled before the entire School at the beginning of Term 2.
This amazing piece was created following student and staff discussion and research into the myths and legends of the Sword in the Stone at Montesiepi Chapel in San Galgano, Italy.
Its rugged beauty is placed on a green, which students staff, parents and members of the community pass many times daily. This sculpture is a fitting addition to the School’s other pieces of interest such as The Southwell
Compass and Sculpture of Knowledge.
Through careful thinking, in relation to the campus over its 110-year history, this latest piece is certainly a stimulant for reflection and thinking.
