APARENT ENGAGEMENT AT SOUTHWELL
t Southwell School, parent & Alumni engagement The annual disco, which took place in Term 2 is an event is important to us, and the school has been busy that is always a highlight for the students and provides an rebuilding activities and events to involve parents opportunity for them to let their hair down
and caregivers in the school community. One of the highlights has been the successful morning tea gatherings for all year groups over several weeks. These gatherings have provided a valuable opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet and connect with each other and to get to know the school staff better.
Year group morning teas for parents and caregivers will continue through each term and the school is looking forward to seeing everyone there. These morning teas are a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to connect with each other and hear about any new and exciting activities happening in our kura.
and have some fun with their friends. This year’s theme was based on our school Opera “School of Rock”.
Finally, Southwell’s opera rehearsals have begun, and the school is always looking for volunteers to help run the concession stalls during the performance intermission.
This is always a flurry of activity, and volunteers are needed to help keep things running smoothly. Also, keep an eye out for behind-the-scenes helpers - if you can wield a can of hairspray or a mascara wand, then we need you.
Overall, a lot is happening at Southwell, and the school is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all parents, caregivers, and students.
