FOUNDER’S DAY
Southwell celebrated its 109th birthday a couple of days early, on Friday October 30. The weather held out - just. No sooner had Chaplain rapped his blessing, than the heavens opened and lunch on The Oval was abandoned!
The rock bands still rocked it out under the covers of the PAC and a few hardy souls supported them in the rain!
The day was lled with much needed fun and frolics in a year of challenge. We line-danced, listened to speeches, cheered our tumblers, admired our Kapa Haka group and were wowed by our very own Southwell dragon.
