NETBALL
Wow! What a season it has been! It has been wonderful to play netball, with several modications being made by Hamilton City Netball Association to accomodate this.
Although we have not had any spectators, we have all loved playing the game each week. Our training maintained the same intensity as any normal competition programme.
The new courts, both at school and at the centre, have meant a fantastic playing surface. It has been rewarding to see the commitment of the players and the enjoyment the girls have had learning new skills, understanding the power of playing in a team and representing their school in a Hamilton wide competition.
As a school, we elded six Year 7 & 8 teams, three Year 5 & 6 teams and two Year 3 & 4 teams. The players have had great fun throughout the season and we look forward to heading into 2021 with some excellent skills learnt to bring forward.
A big thank you to the coaches who have helped develop the players throughout the season. Also thank you to all the parents who have brought their daughters to the court each week but have been unable to watch them play. We have appreciated the efforts you have given to support the school and your child’s love of netball.
