CAMP
24
Camp was right in front of me. I was so excited! My heart was bursting out of its place!
On Monday we went to Hamilton Gardens. My favorite part was the big door with the moving fingers. They were made out of leaves and had fences inside. Emily and I did a performance on stage together. We worked hard. I thought Emily was quite good even though I made the routine!
The next day we went to the Water World. First we went to the big pool. Most people did freestyle while I did breaststroke. Breaststroke is the slowest, though it is my favorite type of swim. Next I went on the hydroslides. It was my first time. Rose said it was scary but I had no fear. I just tried. First I went on the dark hydroslide four times! Next I went to the mini pool. It was warm and shallow. Emily and I did handstands and cartwheels underwater (it was hard!) After that we packed up and went back to school. When we got to school we had lunch in the Dining Room. We all had chicken wraps. They were yummy but a little bit warm.
Next we had Christmas Concert practice. Miss Sybrandy told us to run on the turf. When we came back we all had a big surprise! All our parents were right in front of us! Then the concert started. Mrs. McIntyre started talking and my heart was beating fast. When we finished we went home and I just couldn’t stop thinking about the best camp ever!
On Wednesday I was pretty late but I didn't miss the bus. Phew! We boarded the bus and left. When we arrived at Waihi Beach we had lunch.

It was finally Camp Week and it was the best week of all time. My favorite parts were Water World and Waihi but we needed to go on the bus to get there.
When you go in the dark scary hydroslide it's like you are in a pitch black, dark black hole and you go soooooooooo fast, like super sonic, and if you shout out "Hello!" it will echo. If you go in the light one it's not scary at all, or dark.
Once I had ten turns on the hydroslide I was getting bored so I went to the big kids' pool, but it was boring because it only had three people. So I went in the other pool which was much warmer than the big kids' pool and had more people, but I didn't like was how deep it was.
When we hopped on the bus to Waihi, it was so boring. When we stopped at the Gorge it was pouring so we refused to go on the walk. So the bus driver sent us to the place we were sleeping. Once she left, Miss Sybrandy and Miss Rudduck gave our keys to our cabins.
For dinner we had burgers made by the parents at camp. It was so good that I had seconds.
