Rona Moon is one of our classmates and she is a very grumpy, angry girl. She gets angry with her family at home and she gets angry with us at school.
For the Year 5 production we did the Maori tale Rona & the Moon. The main characters were:
RONA GRANDPA GRANDMA HETA WHAEA RONA Maia Filipo Abir Mahajan Katie Ferrar Joe Butler Aria Low
The parts in the production that we did were the dances, poi practice, acting - and don't forget the fun!
Each class did a scene. 5PM and 5JMF had scenes where Rona was mean. But 5AT had scenes where Rona was kind. It took us four terms.
Due to Covid we had to film the production, all with hard work and courage. We thank everyone who participated in the film. You all did an amazing job! We can't wait to see how it goes in the future.

But when Rona is magically transported to the moon she learns that people won't listen when you talk angrily.
She learns to rise above her anger and use that to create change. Love and kindness are the only way!
