Netball 2022 was a great season, with continuous games at Minogue Park a feature.
We fielded ten teams across the year groups from one Year 3/4 team, to two Year 5 teams, two Year 6 teams, two Year 7 teams and three Year 8 teams.
We experienced some interesting weather during the season - one day a torrential downpour with thunder and lightning led us all into hiding under the veranda, dripping wet with umbrellas turned inside out. A healthy reminder for us all that we love playing a winter sport!
Across the season it is always a pleasure for coaches to see the improvement and the commitment that the girls and boys bring to the game. The players made a determined effort to fulfill their commitments to their team and to Southwell throughout the season and we would like to take the opportunity to thank them. A special congratulations to the Garnet team who won the Year 7 Section 2 competition.
We had quite a few fixtures which were amazing and a great opportunity for everyone to play and gain experience, on top of our competitive games on a Saturday morning.

some of them being billeted for the first time during our overnight fixture. Thanks to those that organise and make these happen.
To all our supporters and parents, thank you for your support. It is a pleasure to have you on the sideline cheering us all on. The atmosphere you bring is invaluable for us all.
