Firstly, I would like to thank my fellow trustees over the last three years for assisting me in running the Foundation successfully. Generally speaking, the Foundation has prospered and nurtured its investments for the School.
2020 has been a unique year for many. It has caused harm to some, sickness to others, but it has also brought home to many how the Foundation can help in times of crisis. As a Foundation, the trustees were able to assist the School with monies to assist those in need. Southwell School is in good heart and financially sound. Unfortunately, some of
I hope that we will never see such a crisis of these proportions ever again. However, the ability to step up and assist those in need has brought home to the trustees of this Foundation what the Foundation means to us and to others, and what the Foundation can do for others when called upon.
I close this report to you with the following quote:
“To handle yourself, use your head; To handle others, use your heart.” May you all have a wonderful and safe Christmas and summer holiday.

Once again the Dining Room was transformed and our guests enjoyed a wonderful evening of food, wine and great company. Our MC, old boy David O’Neill, not only ensured the evening ran smoothly but entertained with his humour and anecdote’s; Headmaster, Jason Speedy gave us an insight of his ‘journey’ to Southwell and old boys

Thank you to the Southwell chefs for a fabulous meal, our MC David O’Neill and all those who helped ensure the evening was a great success. Special thanks must go to our incredibly generous guests who collectively donated close to $80,000, all of which has been allocated to the Covid-19 Hardship Fund.
