                    GARY MOLLARD - CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
SOUTHWELL SCHOOL TRUST BOARD
Covid continues to impact us all. Thank you for your support as our senior leadership team, teachers and staff juggle resources and events to
minimise the impact on students and their families.
The three building projects currently in construction
or planning, continue essentially as planned. The most advanced is the Junior Block, by the time you read
this we expect the roof to be on, windows in and the building envelope watertight. This is a great achievement in the current construction industry supply environment, thanks to SJR Construction and the Southwell project team for the achievements to date.
The School continues to have strong waiting lists. The Trust Board recognises that this is likely to cause frustration for some but is a consequence of our deliberate strategy to limit the roll.
One of the things we all value about Southwell is the individualised and personal nature of the experience. It is the current roll level that enables this personal experience to be delivered.
Current building projects are about enhancing what we offer, not growing the roll. For those of you wanting to enrol children at Southwell I encourage you to contact the school and begin the enrolment process as soon as you can.
Thank you to our parents for the tremendous support you give to Southwell’s wide ranging activities, epitomised in the above image. Together we can achieve great outcomes.
