OCONTINUAL ENHANCEMENT
PROGRAMMES
As our society and learning dimensions adapt, change and evolve I am conscious of what, why and how we educate. Ideally every teacher is a reflective practitioner who acts to improve lesson upon lesson, sees themselves as a learner and functions in a cycle of continuous improvement.
Underpinning our programmes we want to provide an extensive all round education that is both a moral and intellectual learning adventure that is personalised and relational, and grounded on our values. We will work to be innovative, while continuing to cherish our history and valued traditions. I want our facilities, people, breadth of programmes and opportunities for our students to be world class, as they prepare our students for today and tomorrow’s world.
Per aspera ad Astrum Jason Speedy
ver its 111 years Southwell has continually sought to enhance and lead with its educational offerings in terms of its facilities and programmes.
FACILITIES
As you will read further on, in this 2022 and early 2023 period we are undertaking three significant new builds, namely a Junior School, a Sports Pavilion and Boarding House.
The external architectural style with the three builds will be in sync with our history and Southwell style. Each build through their design will enhance student learning, be spaces that create relationships and enrich our childrens’ and educators’ lives.
At the same time we are conscious of maintaining our current facilities and enhancing them where appropriate. Beyond the current campus development I am currently investigating how to take our indoor sporting facilities to a new level.
