SIGNIFICANT TREE PANEL
On Wednesday 16 February the school welcomed Mr Andy Bryant on site for the unveiling of the Southwell School’s Significant Tree Panel, situated on the dining room deck just off the oval. This impressive asset describes in detail, the species, origin and location of our many significant trees. Andy devised the concept and was the driving passion behind this project and we thank him for his tire-less efforts in producing such an outstanding result. Be sure to stop past and have a look, the history behind some of these trees takes us back to Southwell’s very beginnings.
THE CLEAN GREEN ENVIRO TEAM
OBGA were delighted to support the Enviro Team’s application to fund two Intelli-Gro Veggie Pod systems. Fully driven by the children with a view to supplying the cooking classes with fresh produce. This takes us back to the days of
the Boarder Veggie garden. Good luck and happy growing to these young green thumbs!
FACES FROM THE PAST - RECENT VISITORS
Diana & Paul Dodd visited on 1 Feb 2022, Daughter of Airini (nee Sergel: Daughter of HG & Ethel Sergel) & Ken Sandford and Aunt to Emma Wallace (Southwell Fellow).
Charin Singh Old Boy (1988-1989) visited on 6 May 2022. Whilst working for the British Consulate in Jerusalem and based on relationships formed with the local clergy, has generously gifted the school a beautiful cross, crafted from Olive wood and blessed by the Archbishop of Jerusalem.
James Pickford Old Boy (1995-96) visited on 11 May 2022. James returned home from Hong Kong for the first time in many years due to restrictions. Once a Yorkie, always a Yorkie!
