PIPPA MELVILLE - Being a boarder over the past three years has had a positive impact on my personal development. I have built many good friendships, my confidence has grown and I have had plenty of opportunities for leadership. Some
of the highlights have been going to ‘Leap’, having free time and playing fun games after dinner. Amongst many other important life skills, boarding has taught me to be resilient and tolerant of others and to manage myself.
PADDY LLOYD - In the Southwell Boarding House you learn lots of organisational skills such as making your bed, folding your clothes and keeping the place neat and tidy.
The boarding house
has shaped me to be
a better person. I love
the brotherhood and
camaraderie among the
boys. My highlights while
boarding at Southwell
have been playing out on the field with the tutors and my friends and the ‘smores nights. I’ve really enjoyed my role as the Head Boarder and have found the responsibilities challenging, yet rewarding.
