SPEECH & DRAMA AND SPEECH FINALS
Students explored a range of speech, drama, communication and public speaking skills in their weekly lessons.
110 students from Years 1 - 8 showcased their work at the Speech & Drama concert. Many students were nervous beforehand but so happy and proud afterwards. This invaluable performance experience helped students gain confidence in vocal projection and stagecraft. Speech New Zealand examined 98 students in the Homestead.
This process enabled students to learn how to set a goal, establish a practice routine, speak with clear expressive voices and conduct themselves courteously with the examiner. Students learnt vital communication skills, received an exam report, certificate and a badge they can wear with pride.
