TENNIS
This year the tennis team has enjoyed some wonderful fixtures to learn and grow their tennis skills. In a change from the first term, the tennis numbers were split off into just 20 in the training squad for the 1st and 2nd VIII in Term 4.
The introduction of the sporting PODS meant that this group were able to have all the courts for their training and playing times. This has been extremely valuable to build their tennis abilities.
We continued with our Thursday afternoon Club Day to play our internal championship rounds for the tennis cups and also ladder matches. This has created competition, which has elevated the skills and the understanding of the game.
We have been fortunate to have Mr Forster helping us out on Thursday afternoons. This has meant that we can split the group into even smaller groups and work on skills that are more individually based. A big thank you to Mr Forster for his time and enthusiasm.
Finally, just a special note of thanks to all the supporters, and our Sport Department, for their contribution. The fixtures are something that the players look forward to with great enthusiasm. It creates opportunities for new friendships and camaraderie on a different level.
To our parents and supporters, thanks for coming out and watching these games. We all enjoy having your support.
