2020 didn't really go to plan and as a result things looked a little different in the houses this year.
There were already changes made in 2020 in the way all houses were run, as we retired the C Points - so there was no more collecting of these each week, meaning we had time for other things. As a result, the focus became more on building house spirit and getting to know the others in our tutor groups.
Covid-19 put paid to the House Singing competition, but we did manage to learn a cool Line Dance for Founder's Day... we were fortunate enough to have Gangnam Style and we rocked it! Thanks to Mrs Stewart, Miss Sybrandy and the student leaders who led the way!
York always has a really lovely feel to it - we are a friendly house, who really put an emphasis on looking out for each other. It is a privilege to be a part of such a neat group of people.

I have enjoyed being Head of House because of all the awesome support I have had.
My highlight this year has denitely been Athletics Day because it was a time where I could cheer on my house and see all the lovely house spirit.
I have loved being House Leader this year... and good luck York!

I’ve had the privilege to be Head of York with Millie to lead our house for 2020. I’ve had an amazing experience throughout my time of leading my house. I have enjoyed everything that we have done from line dancing on the Oval to playing summer house sport. And I hope that we will do well in the future.
