YEAR 6 CAMP : CAMP COURAGE @ LAKE TAUPO
 IsaidIwouldnotdoitandImeantit!
It was the last activity of the day so I was really tired. There was NO WAY I was doing it! But the time had come that I had been dreading since I rst arrived at camp...
As our group approached the tall, looming tower, I try to strain my neck to see the top. The sun shines in my eyes and I look straight down. The instructor told us to use the rules. Then she said who's going rst. She turned to face me with her huge beady eyes. “You!” she said.
Lowenna Starkie (6DB)
My heart is pumping with fright. Slap! I land heavily. My bottom starts aching.
I want to get out of this death trap but I have to get to the bottom alive rst.
William Seavill (6BN)
I shuddered with dread as I looked downbutIknewIhadtodoit. Myhands were drenched with sweat after holding so many grips. My brain was literally screaming at me not to do it, but it was now or never.
So against all of my instincts I let go. Troy Poole (6BN)
My skin quickly turned to goosebumps as the cold water ran along my body. I clenched the handles above me.
Letting go I zoomed across the big bumps, my back bones just scraping through the excruciating pain.
The water was splashing everywhere so I squinted my eyes so I couldn't see anything.
Phoebe Shale (6BN)
It's early in the morning when the dew still fell, when dawn was still breaking the sky and the frosty feeling lled the air around me with the silence of nothing but the calm breeze over Taupo.
But that wouldn't last long at all, because bursting out of cabins were 93 Southwell School students tired but ready to do a huge try-athlon to compete for CLASS DOMINATION and the tribal trophy.
