2022 has whizzed by in a blur and once again Yorkies
This year we have had the privilege of being the 2022 York House leaders - a house full of encouragement and true York house spirit. Being the head of York has been one amazing opportunity. Watching new friendships form and students’ confidence grow from trying new things and getting out of their comfort zone has definitely been a highlight.
As a house, this year we have tackled the hard challenges and accepted all outcomes with humility. Whether we win or lose, we are always there to support each other's success.
We have all had thrilling full-on terms, and in tough times, like during Covid, we all felt the struggle but pushed through and carried on.
We have all done really well in events like Tug-o-War, Cross Country, house sport and House Singing, and we would like to thank all of the staff and all of the Yorkies out there for giving things a go and trying your hardest. We wish each and every one of you guys the best of luck for next year and hope that the York house spirit continues.

have risen to the challenge of everything thrown their way.
After losing five staff members last year, we were a house of newbies, and one of those newbies, Mr Pearson, stepped up to lead the house. It didn't take long for him to have Yorkie blood flowing through his veins!
House Singing was a real highlight, as we took the trophy out for the first time ever. But it's not all about winning, and Yorkies took part in all events with pride and passion.
Line dancing on the Oval to the specially adapted Yorking on Sunshine on Founder's Day was another hightlight!
A massive thank you needs to go to our fabulous Heads of House, Phoebe and Joss, who led with humour and humility all year.
