SOUTHWELL FELLOW
Congratulations to old boy Jeff de Leeuw (1986 – 1989) on his appointment as a Fellow of Southwell. Jeff is the father of current student Austin and old girls Ella and Millie.
His involvement with Southwell over the years has been significant as President of the Old Boys and Girls Association and most recently as the Chairman of the Trust Board, Jeff resigned last year after seven years of service to the board.
Jeff’s astute and considered influence along with his positive thinking and pragmatic approach has been greatly valued on the Trust Board. Jeff goes above and beyond to support all Southwell endeavours.
WELL DONE ANDREW QIU
Andrew Qiu (2015 - 2016) has been selected as a member of the five-strong New Zealand team, to compete at the Online World School’s Debating Championship. We are immensely proud of you Andrew, and wish you and your team all the best of luck. Andrew is currently a Year 12 student at St Peters.
CONDOLENCES
We would like to acknowledge the passing of old boy Edward Storey (1983 - 1984) who passed away in Peru at Easter 2020. After his time at Southwell Edward studied at Kings College where he became Head Boy. Edward had been involved in robotics and satellite communication throughout his career and latterly had worked in IT in Wellington. Our sincere condolences to his family.
