WINNERS OF THE 2020 BOARDING
BED TROPHY!
With Covid-19 resulting in the cancellation of many sports fixtures a new winters sports tournament was instigated with staff and students battling for the Boarding Bed Trophy. Teams competed fiercely, during lunchtimes, in rugby, football, hockey and netball. This year the staff team narrowly scrapped in to be announced the inaugural winners.
RECENT WEDDING
Stunning Queenstown was the setting for the wedding of Southwell’s Year 3 teacher Liz Southall and Joe Donald. Warmest congratulations to you both.
NEW STAFF
We welcomed the following new staff in the second half of the year. Cherie Horwood (admin, accounts), Glen Leech (property), Hiromi McClunie (dining hall), Matt Pickering (assistant chaplain/specialist teacher), Rochelle Saunders (OBGA, events).
GAP TUTORS
Our fabulous tutors enjoyed a well-deserved break at the snow. This year we farewell Shane Smit, Teresa Steyn and Steven Kriel. Due to Covid-19 some of these tutors have been with us for an extended time and will be missed.
