ALTRUSA AWARD
Congratulations to Sinali Kuruppuge, Southwell’s Altrusa Young Citizen of the Year Award for 2020. This award recognises a Year 8 student who displays the following attributes: Courtesy, attitude and initiative, sportsmanship, community work, scholastic achievement / improvement. This is an amazing credit to Sinali and her family.
CHINESE FUN DAY
A huge thanks, for their hard work and generosity, to our Chinese parents who along with Stella Turner organised the Chinese Culture Day and turned our Square into a fun park. There were activities for everyone to play including dragon parades, drum playing and chopstick challenges.
A LITTLE BIT FRENCH
Southwell students love to celebrate - our Year 8s had fun celebrating languages week with our very popular Crêpe Day.
SPORT EXCHANGE
This year the students have missed not being able to compete in the usual number of sports exchanges - luckily for our hockey teams we managed to play our annual game against Dilworth School.
ATHLETICS DAY
Always a fabulous day at Southwell, this Athletics Day was once again no exception, a great day of competition, effort and House spirit, culminating in the Tug of War and the House relays.
Sinali Kuruppuge & family Thank you to our Chinese parents for organising Chinese Fun Day
