SNOW SPORTS
This year's North Island Primary and Intermediate Schools Skiing Competition saw Mount Ruapehu at its finest and also its worst!
Skiers had to not only compete against their competitors, but also against the weather, with Blue Bird conditions one moment and White Out conditions the next. Regardless of that, our Southwell skiers once again held their own against the other best age-group skiers in the country, with a notable achievement by Sam Ferrar, who slid his way into a Top 10 ranking.
It was truly a team effort, both on and off the snow, and I wish to express my sincere appreciation to our parent supporters who enable our students to follow their passions.
