YEAR 8 SYNDICATE
What an outstanding year our Year 8 team has delivered in their final year at Southwell. From our intrepid adventure through the Tongariro National Park to the stunning Opera our Year 8 students have led, laughed and lived to the fullest in what has been a great end to their Southwell experience.
The Year 8 teaching team have again been wonderful leaders of learning and have guided the students through all manner of challenges, be it social, personal or academic. A big thanks goes to Mrs Rudduck and Mrs Holah, who were new additions to the Year 8 team of Mr McKay, Miss Hart, Miss Wright, and Mr Cameron. All the Southwell staff have been wonderful assets to our team and it was great to have Mrs Debbie Ussher for the last half of the year while Miss Wright was on maternity leave.
It remains a joy to see our wonderful students grow as they negotiate their way through the busy life we challenge them with at Southwell. Through a combination of a positive mindset, a healthy bit of humour and the expert guidance of the super-talented Southwell staff, our Year 8 students are well prepared for the rigours of life beyond Southwell. Thanks once again for a superb year. Roll on 2020.
