BOYS’ CHOIR OF ALL HALLOWS CHAPEL
This year has been an extraordinary year for the Boys’ Choir - a group of 39 boys, ranging from Years 5 to 8. I have been very lucky to be Head Chorister and we all had a lot of fun during the year. We were all very nervous at the start, but as the year went by we started to be a little more confident. We all have worked very hard on our singing, and behaviour. Like every year, Mrs McIntyre has conducted us amazingly. This was the first year that we went to St Kentigern School for our exchange. This year was also the school's first ever overseas trip when the choirs went to Sydney.
This year we competed in the NZ Choral Competition Kids' Sing. We performed three pieces; Pokarekare Ana, O Wind, and O Come Little Children. We did really well and received a gold award and came second.
On the fixture to St Kentigern School the boys went crazy about pies and donuts for lunch. When we got there we got a tour of their school and sang two pieces - May The Road Rise To Meet You, and O Wind.
We also did Carol Services that were also enjoyable, especially when we had dinner every night! We had fun singing Christmas carols all night and by the end of the services all the carols were stuck in our heads.
Overall we had the best year of Boys' Choir ever. We had lots of fun and we worked hard.
