The Ensemble, this year is made up of one violinist (Kezia Schuitemaker), one flautist (me), and one pianist (Isabella Egan).
We have had a great time together this year, practising at Friday lunch times. We are directed by the wonderful Mrs McIntyre.
We thoroughly enjoyed playing at the Senior Citizens' Concert in December.
We have all really loved our time in the Ensemble and look forward to seeing future Southwell ensembles.

This year the rock bands did an excellent job with their performances. Jeremy Badger & Dan Cosgrove were the outstanding teachers who taught the bands 8 Keys, D Comma, and 6 to 1.
All of these bands played at the rock band competition, BandSlam. D'Comma, taught by Dan, went to BandSlam with the song Another Brick in the Wall. At Founder's Day they introduced their original song When You See The Light.
8 Keys, taught by Jeremy, played the song I’m a Believer at BandSlam. Yvette Scatchard was awarded the Best Other Instrument prize. They returned on Founder's Day with their second song, Fortune Faded.
6 to 1, also taught by Dan, participated in the same competition with the song Demons. Their singer, Remco de Bruijn, was awarded Best Male Singer. At Founder's Day, they also performed the song All Star.
Congratulations to all the bands and their teachers; let's hope next year will be as good as this year or even better!
