             YEAR 3-4 SYNDICATE
2020 - what a year! It will certainly be one to remember for many reasons.
For me it has been a time to reect and celebrate how our children have displayed our Southwell values.
First and foremost RESILIENCE: showing exibility and open-mindedness during Lockdown and being positive when learning on line and learning new ways of doing things.
RESPECT: being respectful of each other and treating people as you would like to be treated. We have developed respect for our school by ensuring our grounds are litter-free.
CARING: caring for each other in uncertain times, showing kindness and love when times are tough. I have noticed many random acts of kindness, done to cheer people up.
CREATIVITY: such a fun Term 4 being creative in so many different ways, thinking outside the square and ending with an outstanding art exhibition showcasing the talent of our Year 3 and 4 students. This has been a time for all to shine.
EXCELLENCE: always striving to be their best self by continually reecting on their own personal goals and pushing themselves to be their best self.
INTEGRITY: trying to always do the right thing at the right time, even when no one is watching.
I am so proud of how our children have navigated 2020
with such a positive attitude.

SPRING
Water owing down the river.
Sun rising above me.
Birds ying over the trees.
Butteries moving from ower to ower. Eggs hatching in their nests.
Puddles splashing on the dirt. Daffodils sprouting tall like a Southwell kid.
Calves playing in the long grass.
Hair owing everywhere.
Bunnies bouncing in the paddock. Spring is here.

4KMD Pet Hour COLOURS
Black is dark like the midnight sky. Yellow is bright like the hot, hot sun. Blue is fresh like the wonderful wind. Gold is beautiful like glitter, Brown is yucky like dirty mud. Green is wild like the trees Rainbows are colourful like Kandinsky paintings.
White is blank like white paper. Pink is as pretty as a sunset

A LETTER TO INVITE PARENTS TO PET HOUR
MY GARDEN
I hear the relaxing sound of crickets and the brown bird.
I enjoy the sweet sound of the quiet.
I feel the wet grass in between my toes and the smooth breeze going through my hair. The rose stands out in the green bush. The grass is bright green the dandelions still manage to stand out!! I see an enormous cliff with all types of plants and trees going down it. The tomatoes are bright red ready to eat and cook with. The butteries are ghting over who looks the best.
I see the smooth rocks in the cracks. The buzzy bees make a lovely sound but they can scare you if they y past your face.
I see the green and blue tent in the centre of the garden. There are small parts of wood around the garden.
I smell the nose-tickling smell of wet grass.

Albert will spend most of this hour on the top eld so he will have lots of space to run around and other dogs will be spaced out. And small animals will be spaced out from the big ones.
Hope he can come. Love Percy
