What a year of contrasts and challenges.
I can't help but be exceptionally proud of the way all the students and teachers coped with Remote Learning. The efforts of the teachers to put a workable and fun learning plan into action for the students was fantastic. Special mention needs to go to Mr McKay and Mr Walch who led us all through the process to deliver a great programme for our learners.
Well done to our magnicent Year 8 kids who were superb. These new challenges were met with a positive approach and... we got through.
It was great to be reunited with our classes and this happy reunion underscored the joy and value of being together in a community, This is a simple pleasure I am sure we will not take for granted in the future.
Well done on a superb year from a superb year group. 2020 - a year not to be forgotten.

Adrenaline takes over as you leap from the plane,
Your stomach drops and you prepare for the pain.
You look around and feel free, Empty space surrounds you, not a
creature you can see.
Wind rushes through your face the feeling exhilarating,
You can’t believe before the skydive you were hyperventilating.
A blanket of milky white clouds A
tretches across the sky, st
ut you’re falling through it within the Bu
blink of an eye.
ou stretch your arms and legs out wide
Yo
and spin around,
You scream with glee your voice a high pitched sound.
As you emerge out the other side you’re disappointed to see,
The world still goes on; waking you up from your fantasy.
Cars ll the road, people scatter the
street,
They look as small as ants from up in my seat.
As I fall further and come closer to land,
I fumble for my parachute cord and yank it with my hand.
It comes right out with one swift motion, But next thing I know I'm heading straight for the ocean!
I try to steer it back but it’s too late,
The wind has caught me, I'm going to be shark bait.
I fall at speed going into a spiral, Someone video this for funny fails it’ll go viral!
I’m low enough to see the little waves below,
The tip is as white as winter snow.
I land in the water with a SPLAT!
Sky diving was a stupid idea, why on earth would I do that!?
