    TECHNOLOGY
 The Technology programme this year was based around creativity with the theme Make something I have never seen before. The students' problem solving, composure, quality of craftsmanship, teamwork, ability to think exibly, engineering skills and creative ideas were phenomenal.

Epro8 is an engineering teamwork challenge. This year Southwell School entered a team of four - Michael Crowther, Leon Lee, Oliver Fleming and Jonathan Crowther. We won our rst challenge with our robotic dragon which we built at school and submitted online. At the Hamilton semi-nal, we went to St Paul’s Collegiate and made a roller coaster. We placed second and qualied for the Waikato Region grand nal. At that competition we placed a credible fth.
