P. 17
2022 has been another exciting year in our area of the school and we are grateful that we have been able to be involved in School events again, after such a disrupted year last year.
This has been a very rewarding year due to the hard work and enthusiasm of the Year 3 and 4 teachers who have nurtured the children in their care to develop a group of hardworking, well-mannered children who uphold our Southwell values with pride. For our children to be good citizens in an ever changing world it is so important to live by these values.
I have been impressed with the high standards the children have set themselves and strived hard to achieve. I can see there are many future leaders amongst our Year 3 and 4 children. Whether it be academically, in the sporting arena, the arts, culture or music, every child has had an
opportunity be a star in some way.
Thank you to Miss
Phillips, Miss Sybrandy
and Mrs Pomare (née
Rudduck.) I appreciate your collegiality, flexibility and friendship in our Year 3 and 4 Syndicate. I would like to pay a special mention to our Teacher Aides this year, who have been working in our classes and also alongside children, helping and supporting them with
their learning.
Thank you also to everyone who has been a part of our syndicate in any small way this year.

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2022
My favorite time this year is Founder's Day. I loved the house competition. I liked Lincoln's Line Dance. It was quite funny to watch.

My highlight this year is Book Week. We had lots of fun activities like Book Character Day. I was dressed up as Pikachu. My favourite activity was the Book Quiz on Wednesday. The week went by very quickly. It
felt so quick it was like a day!

The highlight of my year was when we got the Lego table. I like hanging out there. There is
lots of Lego and you can imagine all the things you
can make.
Me and Nixon are building
a tower. I estimate it will be one metre. I really want to play on it more.

THE BEST PART OF ME
The best part of me is my heart. I chose my heart because when I run my heart beats and I’ll know when I get tired. And everyone has a heart. Maybe trees have hearts - that will be funny. My heart is pink and it's kind of chubby.
Minh Phan
The best part of me is my legs. My muscly legs are the reason I can walk. They help me to walk away from negative stuff. My legs help me to walk so that I can go towards people that I have not seen for a while. Xavier Thorburn
Year 3 is fun, We play in the sun,
We have learned great things,
Like answering the phone when it rings,
My favourite part
Has been the art,
I have loved being in 3LSy,
Leaving our class makes my heart cry, But I know Year 4 will be cool, Because we can still swim in the pool, And learn a lot.
I will give new things a shot
I’ve had a blast
And now 2022 is almost in the past! Briar Ord
