YEAR 0-2 SYNDICATE
What a busy and productive year 2019 has been! A year full of opportunities to practise resilience, new learning and gratitude! What an amazing group of children, supported by their dedicated teachers and wonderfully supportive parents. I would like to convey my thanks and appreciation to the outstanding teachers in the Junior School team, who have shown dedication, professionalism and inspiration in all they have planned and provided for the students in their care this year. It has made for a year full of opportunities, growth and successes.
Some of the highlights of the year include:
• Camp Week... learning to become a team and challenging ourselves with new experiences.
• A superb Disco thoroughly enjoyed by Junior School students.
• Book Week / Book Character Day.
• Visit by Life Education.
• Cross Country, Swimming and Athletics
competitions.
• a visit by Ruben the Road Safety Bear.
• Hilda Ross Retirement Home visit to
perform for the elderly.
• Founder's Day.
• Undercover Cody (Sun Safety.)
• Many new students joining us in Terms
2,3 & 4 and becoming part of the Junior
School family.
• A wonderful Nativity Production
thoroughly enjoyed by the children as they prepared for and presented it.
A special thank you to all the parents, teacher aides and school colleagues who have supported and helped us in the Junior School this year. We have so appreciated all those moments when people have stepped in to ensure we moved seamlessly through busy times to keep programmes and student well-being at the forefront of all we do. It is during these times that we most see our school values of caring, resilience, respect, creativity, integrity and excellence in action!
It truly has been another family affair year.

JACK'S PRAYER
Thank you god for my new drink bottle from Dad. Please can you help
me to grow. Amen Jack Hobson (JCK)
Yesterday it was Monday and we had Swimming Sports. The strokes that we did were freestyle and backstroke. Even if I don’t come in the finals I’m still proud of me. I tried as hard as
I could but I still didn’t come in the finals. Swimming is my favourite thing to do. It’s not about winning, it’s about taking part. Even if you have to use a flutter board. I still did it. I was tough. It was a race. I had to wait a long time in the hut. The pool was nice and warm. I felt nervous. I felt confident and you never know until you try. Always give it a go even if you don’t want to. That is a good choice. You never know until you do.
